Sustainability at Sandos Griego
Sandos Griego applies all the necessary resources and responsibilities to ensure the achievement of objectives and goals that allow for continuous improvement in caring for the environment, designing processes that minimize and prevent environmental impact caused by business activity. Therefore, Sandos Griego is committed to its surroundings, taking care of them while considering both the present and the future of new generations. Following our motto “Reasons to Smile,” we want to show how the environment is a fundamental pillar for us, on which the practices of all team members are based.
Efficient management of resources and energy
We know that the first step in caring for the planet lies in the way we use its resources. At Sandos Griego, we are committed to efficient energy management, incorporating low-consumption lighting systems and automatic controls that reduce electricity waste in guestrooms and common areas. We also encourage responsible water use with low-flow fixtures in bathrooms and showers, as well as efficient irrigation systems in our garden areas. Every action counts toward reducing our consumption and contributing to the care of the Mediterranean environment we love so much.
Waste reduction and recycling
At our hotel, we place great importance on the responsible management of the waste we generate. We promote recycling by using dedicated bins in our facilities to separate paper, glass, and plastics, engaging both our team and our guests in this effort. In the kitchen and restaurant areas, we work to minimize food waste by adjusting buffet quantities and promoting conscious consumption. At Sandos Griego, we rely on local suppliers for many of our products, thereby reducing our transport footprint and fostering community development. Our cuisine includes local and Mediterranean flavors so that each guest can discover the cultural richness of the region through its cuisine. In addition, we inform and encourage our visitors to discover local businesses, cultural attractions, and natural landscapes in the area, generating a more authentic and enriching tourism.
